I always wonder what to say in these sorts of summaries. On one hand, I could talk about my enjoyment of container gardening, biking, playing cards, being geeky('specially with old computers), cooking, reading, following current events(touching a new newspaper cheers me up), and have a generally boring but non-objectionable profile.

Or, I could talk about the wacky, politically incorrect positions I take, and how I'm quite willing to defend absolute nutjobs if I agree with their position this time.

Or, I could randomly jump around, attempting and likely failing at being humorous in my limited way. (As a side note, I find it's awfully difficult to be funny on a site where you have no idea of the mood of your reader, and have limited ability to do anything about it, and no ability to adjust the humor to fit the person's response.)

Or, I could talk about how I assume people who can't spell or use decent grammar are stupid and offensive to the intelligence of the human species. (Ranting is fun!)

Instead I'll ramble on endlessly, hopefully providing you with a brief look into my soul, and hope that you're not offended by what I wrote because of misunderstanding what I was aiming at. Or at least that you're willing to message me about what you find wrong in my profile.

Wow... How to summarize my life in one paragraph (I guess everyone here complains about that). I'll try to give some basics and leave the rest for you to find out. I grew up in Brooklyn Park, MN. I used to run Cross-country, ski, and wrestle in H.S. I went to Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA until I graduated with a BA in Business and Communications. I bought a Bar and Grill and stayed in MV until this last year when I sold it. I am definately much more relaxed and less stressed now that I'm not running a restaurant. I'm excited to be back home to Minnesota close to my family and old friends, but do miss a lot of the people back in Iowa. I love to travel and visit new places. I'm planning on staying near my family for a while, but I'd like move to Colorado within a few years, and I still have a few dozen countries I really want to visit.

Ok first I have a 2 year old son that lives me 98% of the time. If you think that might bother you, you can stop reading now. Ok now that I have that out. I am easy going most of the time, I can also be stubborn at times. ;) I like the out doors, camping, hiking, fishing ect...one of my favorite things to do is to sit out buy a camp fire and have a beer with friends and family. i play video games every now and then, I like to play pool, go out to eat, see a movie and try to hang out with my friends and family when ever I have free time. Just staying at home and relaxing and watching a movie or the some TV is nice sense i don't get to just sit and do nothing very often...

I am an individual who enjoys to explore and figure things out. If something is unclear, and it piques my interest, then I will do what I can to get a better understanding of it. I like to just relax sometimes and just think about things with my music. Music allows me to transcend into another level of being, something that I could never experience without. I would consider myself an intellectual, a philosopher, and a curious being. I am not limited to the intellectual things of life however, I don't mind one bit to just relax and enjoy life as it is without a single thought flowing through my mind. I Meditate often, which inevitably allows me to think even clearer, and remain calm and relaxed in even the most extreme circumstances.

Beyond the intelligent thinking (There will be more in the boxes below) I enjoy to occupy my time with a lot of different things. I'm very eclectic in almost every way. Like the average American, I enjoy my fair share of movies, tv shows, and video games. I also enjoy to play my acoustic guitar, sing, and once I get a drum set learn more on that (that is to learn what I can't learn from the drum set given in Guitar Hero, which by the way is a great improvement from the Rockband Drum set.) I'll talk more about video games in the lower section and just add it on to the tv shows and movies. Other than what can be done inside the house I enjoy to get myself out doors, I love hiking through the woods, and getting on a mountain bike and just taking off into a bike trail through the forest. I could probably spend an entire day outside and not get bored, and when it got later, just get a bonfire started and stare at the flames for hours. I have a lot of fun doing some out door recreation, including some frisbee, volleyball, maybe a game of touch football, or really anything else I can think up. I am currently enrolled in Karate and just love to go there and go through form and practice on a body shield. (Right now I am currently deployed with a National Guard unit over in Iraq, so everything has kind of been put on hold with that. This does mean that if you are interested in sending me a message, then anything we do would have to remain as an online relationship until I got back.) I also don't mind spending time with my family or friends, doing whatever and just hanging out, generally we end up doing a lot of what I mentioned up above, but sometimes we just sit and chill (aka we're bored lol).

My intention when being with anyone is of course to be polite and honest, however the two don't always go hand in hand. There are sometimes when I can be taken as rude, or demeaning, or belittling, and none of it is intentional. I am a very confrontational person verbally, and I can come off harsh. This is something I am aware of and work on to get the true meaning of my words across so you can understand them clearly, however I will not hold back from being honest about how I feel, so if you don't want a guy who's going to be honest about the bad and the good, then move on, cause that is something I refuse to budge on. As of most political Issues, and anything major like that, feel free to bring it up in our conversations, and I'll be happy to discuss them with you.

Well, I suppose that is me describing me in a self-summary, keep reading as I have more to add in the specific slots below.

Pseudo-intellectual couple seeking other couples or a few select friends for friendship and definitely more, we would live to find people who have a different sense of fun. We graduated high school and college, so going out and getting bombed and assuming we had a great time the next day because we did not remember it, is NOT our idea of fun.

I've been known to play video games, although I'm usually not very good at them (with the exception of Mario Kart and Halo). I can be pretty geeky at times.

I shower on a regular basis, and I brush my teeth. I've been told more than once that I always smell good. I like just sitting on the couch with someone and watching some TV or a movie and talking. Also, I tend to ramble sometimes.

I am a Christian, a Lutheran if you would make me pick, and although I have a very strong personal faith, I do not try to shove that on anyone else. I love making friends, but it's time to find something more. I'm looking for a girl that shares the same interests. At least one, you know? Something to be our bond. Someone that thinks like I do, and won't get lost within my strange train of thought. Music is a pretty big deal to me. I used to love nothing but metal (Pantera, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Trivium, etc), but then I got into progressive rock (Dream Theater, Rush, Three.) I'm not a fan of mainstream pop, pop-rock or rap, but I can tolerate those who are. I listen to 93x and I like most of the music that they play, so I am somewhat mainstream.

I play guitar, I have about 5 years under my belt and I've never given up on it. I don't play any other instruments, but I'm interested in playing the violin, cello and the piano. I can feasibly play the bass, since it's the same concept with thicker strings. I can keep a basic drum beat, but that's as far as I go in that area.

I love to compose, and I plan on going to school so I can take my compositions to a new level. I usually write the common band-style composition (Guitar/bass/drums/etc) and occasionally small scale orchestral works (Guitar/cello/piano/other string instruments)

Aside from music, I'm into gaming. Team Fortress 2, Left4Dead(/L4D2), Portal, Half Life, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Sid Meyers Civilization, etc.. I'm an undying fan of Final Fantasy. FFVII was the best game I ever played.

To be clear for those who actually care, I'm not religious. If you're fine with what I believe in, then I'm fine with what you believe. Religion isn't a deal breaker for me unless you're very into it and want me to be. I DO have my morals and beliefs, but they don't exclusively belong with one particular religion.

As a final note, my personality profile says I'm not ambitious or friendly. I have absolutely no idea how it came to that conclusion.

My name is Steve. When life throws me a curveball, I try to make the best of it and see the positive side of the situation. I have a very laid back kind of attitude, it takes a lot to get me angry...except when I'm at work or driving. Then I seem to have a short temper =/ There's so many things I like to do for fun it's almost annoying. Music is the biggest thing for me. I've been playing guitar for seven years and I can play bass guitar and drums too. I play in a band with some friends from high school and it's a ton of fun. Winter is when I get my nerd on. I play a lot of World of Warcraft in the winter since I don't really have anything to do outside. And when I get together with friends we usually play Wii or Xbox or even board games. Winter is also the time of year I spend a lot of time watching the science channel and the discovery channel watching shows about space, geology, biology and whatnot. But, once summer rolls around I'm almost a different person. You won't find me inside too much during the warm seasons. I do a ton of mountain biking, I try to get in a few miles a day at the least. Me and my friends are always playing tennis or football. And when the sun sets it's just a whole new ball game. Usually you'll find us chilling in some lawn chairs in the garage having some beers or out back having a bon fire. And whenever we can we try to make it out to Wisconsin to my buddy's cabin and do some fishing, swimming and occasionally I'll even try water skiing but I fail every time. And if you haven't gathered this by now...I'm very close to my friends. I have two very close friends that are like brothers to me. I may not have a lot but I have a very strong bond with the friends that I do have.

I'm Eric . I'm the nicest guy in the world. Sometimes I can be a dick. But most of the time I'm nice. I love sarcasm, I also love cake. I'm half retarded or cutely special which ever you prefer.I'm guilty of wearing my heart on my sleeve and the only thing I ask is that you don't lie to me. Firstly I should say, I'm vary shy so I'm not the social go getter that seems to come so naturally to some people. I feel I do have good taste in character though and, the few freinds I have are lifelong companions. I haven't dated in a long while, I've been too busy helping my family through these hard times but, its been a long time and I'm ready to move on with my life. Family and loyalty are everything to me I'll never understand why some people don't see the importance in loyalty, if you care about someone don't screw them its pretty simple. that being said I'm open to almost anything however, I am hopeing to have a more serious relationship. Moved to this area a while ago and i,m a little shy around new people . Up north were i was from i new everyone so dating was so much easier . I can,t wait for summer to get out and play ball again and meet some people other then in a bar. Hunting mostly archery,fishing, softball,I love just sitting bye the lake watching the sun set. Bowling ,dart, pool,shoot leagues in most of these.

I'm 24, a single mom of a 3 year old, with another baby due in april. Because of my daughter, I spend a lot of nights in just hanging out with her or watching movies. When I am able to get out I like to go to the movies, go to the bar (when i'm not pregnant). I really like going up north and sitting on the lake all day.

Iâ??m a fun loving outgoing person with nothing to prove, I am pretty laid back. I understand everybody is different and thatâ??s ok with me. What matters to me might not matter to you, so needless to say that is when respect comes in to play. You need to have respect for others or you will not have my respect! Incase you have not of gotten it, I am big on respect. It seems like everybody has forgotten about common courtesy. I try to be a good person, and I think I am, but maybe you should be the judge of that.

I'm a down to earth guy who loves adventure. I'm easy going with amazing, well paying, fun careers. I love my toys and enjoy great company and looking for some one to share it all with. I'm not looking for some one to "complete me" or be "my other half". I already come complete with a full working parts (arms, legs, head/brain etc.). Hello! It's good to read the many postings here and like you I am tired of being and doing things alone. I desire to be close to someone as friends and then in a romantic and passionate way. I do love to hold hands and hug. I am extremely romantic, but believe that romance doesn't have to always be grand. Sometimes the simplest things are the most romantic. I like to ice skate, dirt bike,snowmobile, hangout with friends, and just enjoy life as much as I can. I just got my firearm safety cert. so I am wanting to start hunting in the fall for deer. I love to be outdoors, just having fun. Also looking to get into hockey, love watching it, so I think it is time to attempt to play it.

I like Rendezvous (Living History Re-enactment), Throwing hawks and knives, learned how to shoot handguns this fall - loved it, want to learn how to shoot Black Powder Rifles this year, want to learn archery, Most Favorite Interest is FENCING - I live and breathe it. It's not a sport, but a lifestyle. I love sword movies, and own most of them. I like going to museums, art galleries, going to Orchestra Hall, and plays. Traveling, camping (rustic), and trains, bears, rocks. Clothing - I love Fashion. I love going to Action and SciFi Movies - Opening midnight shows it's usually me and a theater full of guys. I have gotten to know quite a few of them. Oh I almost forgot a bout Blacksmithing, Blade smithing and Welding. I belong to the Guild of Metalsmiths. I love sparks, but not setting myself on fire. My favorite artist is Monet. I love his lily pads and haystacks.

As I said.......You can read the intro. I am looking for the same. I have been through the ringer of deception.... not being truely honest with the situation and I have had enough of that. I am looking for a life partner!!! If you have baggage from the past that you will hold against me for things that I didn't do ,forget it! Well i am a soon to be chef who loves food. Other than that i always look at the bright side of things cause there is always something good you can get from any situation. I also play alot of video games, that may be a downside but its jsut something i do with the boys. I am all about family and friends and they are who come first in my life. Other than that there really isnt much i jsut try to live life happy and jsut have fun and no matter wht you can always find me in a kitchen, on a couch or just going for a run to try to work off what i ate the week before.
